Kenco unveils Matcha Latte and Espresso Concentrate
Coffee brand Kenco has launched two new flavours, Kenco Matcha Latte and Espresso Concentrate, which will be available from May onwards.
According to the business, the move aims to meet the demand for convenient coffee shop-style experiences at home among younger consumers.
The Kenco espresso concentrate is available in three variants: unsweetened, mocha and caramel and the Matcha Latte is available in vanilla and strawberry flavours.
The brand designed the product to offer a flexible, easy-to-use solution which can be served cold in summer and hot in winter.
Head of category & shopper, JDE Peet’s, UK & IE, Maria Kabalyk, said: “Shoppers’ expectations of the coffee aisle are evolving fast. They are looking for more choice in formats, flavours and ways to enjoy iced and hot drinks at home, without compromising on quality or convenience.

“By bringing the Matcha Latte and Espresso Concentrate to market, we’re investing in the long‑term health of the category – creating new reasons to buy, new occasions and new ways for shoppers to trade up.”
This marks a new portfolio segment into the category of rapidly growing coffee adjacencies, with matcha becoming the fourth most popular iced drink among under-35 shoppers, according to Allegra World Coffee Portal..
The matcha launch will be supported by a social media campaign from 10 June for three weeks, while the Espresso Concentrate launch will have a marketing campaign across YouTube, online and in-store activations from 22 June for eight weeks.
The Kenco Matcha Latte is set to be stocked in Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s for £2.99, and the Espresso Concentrate will be sold at Tesco, Asda and Morrisons for £5 from May.
