Wild Thingz secures national Centre Parcs listing
Fast-growing confectionery brand Wild Thingz has landed a national listing with Centre Parcs UK, as it looks to become a go-to treat for families this summer.
The organic gummy sweets brand is now available across all five Centre Parcs villages in the UK, following recent launches in Ocado and Co-op.
Wild Thingz said the listing marks a major step in its retail expansion, giving the brand access to thousands of families visiting Centre Parcs during the peak summer season.
The gummies contain half the sugar of traditional sweets, according to the brand, and are 100 per cent organic, plant-based and free from artificial colours, flavours and additives.
Wild Thingz said it was created to address a growing “health dilemma” among parents who want to give children treats without compromising on ingredients.
Research commissioned by the brand with YouGov found that 64 per cent of parents feel reluctant to buy sweets due to concerns around sugar and additives.
Founded by former Mondelez confectionery expert Fliss Newland, Wild Thingz is an independent, female-founded business aiming to “clean up the sweet aisle” while keeping sweets fun for children.
The brand’s range includes playful gummies such as Cherry Spiders, Lemon Maggots, Cola Snails, Red Apple Butterflies and Blackcurrant Ladybirds.
Its products include Zesty Pests, featuring tangy Lemon Maggots and Cherry Spiders; Fruity Flyers, made up of Red Apple Butterflies and Blackcurrant Ladybirds; and Gummy Grubs, a mix of fruity flavours including Cola Snails.
The range is priced at £2.75 on Ocado and is also stocked by Planet Organic and Amazon.
Wild Thingz said its Centre Parcs launch further strengthens its position as one of the UK’s most exciting emerging confectionery brands, as families seek out better-for-you treats during the summer holidays.
