Pret A Manger has unveiled its biggest menu launch in years, with new high-protein options being introduced nationwide from 28 April onwards.

The menu builds on the success of its previously launched high-protein range and is a push towards expanding the offering ahead of summer.

There is a new Chicken & Edamame protein pot which is joining the existing protein pot range designed for convenient and healthy snacking with prices starting from £2.95.

The food-to-go chain also upgraded the Chipotle Chicken Super Plate to deliver 50g of protein and now added the vegan Korean BBQ Tofu Super Plate to its listing.

There are also two new salad bowls which are joining the menu this spring, the Miso Chicken Rice Bowl and the Butternut & Hummus Mezze Bowl.

Pret has also unveiled a brand new large 16 oz barista-made drink option which will launch nationwide to allow customers to have more choice within their beverages.

A range of new summer-flavoured drinks are rolling out, including Iced Green Teas and Iced Green Tea lemonades, Seasonal Blueberry Lattes and Iced Matcha Lattes.

Briony Raven, chief food & coffee officer at Pret, said: “We wanted this menu to offer more of what customers are looking for right now. Building on the success of our Super Plates – known for being rich in fibre and protein.

“We’ve introduced more protein choices, more substantial options and great-tasting food and drink made fresh. From new high-protein recipes to larger barista-made drinks, this is our biggest menu update in years, with something for every part of the day.”
