Seven Bro7hers lands Asda listing for Krush double IPA

News

Independent brewer Seven Bro7hers Brewing Co has secured a new national listing in Asda for its latest launch, Krush, as the Salford-based business continues to build its presence in grocery.

The beer is now available in Asda stores nationwide and online, with an RRP of £3.75, and is also featuring in the retailer’s five beers for £10 promotion.

Krush is a 7.5 per cent ABV double IPA brewed with Krush hops, a newer US varietal from Yakima Chief Hops. Seven Bro7hers describes the beer as delivering notes of mango, peach, citrus and berry, balanced by a more resinous finish.

The Asda listing marks another step forward in the brewery’s off-trade expansion, with Seven Bro7hers having already built a broader supermarket presence through a mix of core lines and new product launches.

The business has also been growing its national on-trade reach, with Wetherspoon confirming this spring that it is now supplying Seven Bro7hers Easy IPA and Buzz across its pub estate.

Kit McAvoy, director at Seven Bro7hers Brewing Co, said the launch reflected the kind of more distinctive, higher-impact beer the business believes shoppers are increasingly open to trying in store.

He added that Krush is the highest-ABV beer the brewer has secured in retail to date, making the Asda deal a notable milestone for the brand.
