Nomad Foods appoints Simon Ball as president UK&I

Frozen food manufacturer Nomad Foods has appointed Simon Ball as president, UK & Ireland, effective on 23 March.

He will report directly to Dominic Brisby, CEO, and will join the executive leadership team.

Ball brings years of experience to the role, having served in multiple leadership positions within the food and retail sector. Most recently, he worked as managing director for Ornua Foods UK and Europe and has also served in senior positions at Greencore, M&S, IPL and William Jackson Food Group.

Brisby said: “Simon brings a wealth of commercial expertise, strategic clarity, and leadership strength to our UK & Ireland business. His track record of driving growth, leading complex teams and delivering sustainable performance makes him the right leader for this next chapter.

“In particular, Simon’s leadership will support our commitment to strengthening our commercial foundations, improving focus and agility, and unlocking meaningful value creation opportunities that lie ahead.”

As part of his new role, he will be responsible for managing the brand’s UK & Ireland portfolio, which includes Birds Eye, Aunt Bessie’s and Goodfella’s.

Ball said: “With market-leading brands and strong foundations to build from, there is tremendous potential ahead. I look forward to working with the team to help accelerate the progress already underway.”

This appointment comes after Nomad Foods recently reported a revenue decline in its full-year results last month and is working on a transformation.
