Eight of the best Valentine’s Day dine-at-home deals
It’s February, and that means love is in the air.
On Saturday 14 February, couples across the country will celebrate St Valentine’s Day, offering each other gifts as an act of love.
As we approach the most romantic day of the year, major retailers have already unveiled various dine-at-home deals.
Here, Grocery Gazette looks at some of the top offers at supermarkets nationwide.
Aldi – £5.97 for two

Discounter Aldi has the cheapest Valentine’s Day deal offer at £5.97 for two, which will be available from Tuesday 10 February onwards.
The deal excludes drinks; however, a bottle of Aldi’s Prosecco Spumante DOC can be purchased for a discounted price of £4.75 from 12 to 18 February.
The supermarket’s cheapest menu combination for Valentine’s Day includes a starter of the Share the Love Heart-Shaped Garlic Bread, a main of the Specially Selected Heart-Shaped Pizza in Spicy Pepperoni & Mozzarella and a dessert of Share the Love Mini Pink Heart Pancakes.
This year’s offer also features a number of new items, from fresh seafood to new beef dishes such as Wagyu Cote du Boeuf and Salmon & Cream Cheese Tart.
The retailer is also offering other options for customers costing less than £10, including the premium meal deal menu and the veggie meal menu. Although the deal is the cheapest overall, the three-course dishes exclude a drinks pairing compared to other retailers’ offers.

Asda unveiled one of the most affordable deals, which is £12 for two and gives shoppers the choice of a starter, a main, two sides, a dessert and a drink.
This offer is available to all shoppers, not requiring a loyalty card, which is a move that aims to expand the overall customer reach, according to the business.
The retailer is placing its premium line Bistro by Asda range which includes 46 products running from 5 to 15 February.
For its starter offer, Asda is offering dishes including Heart-Shaped Champagne Coquille St Jacques and mains such as Sirloin Steaks with Heart shaped Smoked Garlic & Pink Peppercorn butters and Bistro Salmon Fillets.
