Aldi launches apprenticeship recruitment drive
Aldi has opened applications for 500 new apprenticeship roles in 2026 across stores and warehouses in the UK.
The discounter’s apprentices will receive paid breaks and wages from the start of the programme and will be working towards industry-recognised qualifications.
Store apprentices start on a wage of £12.02 per hour, which increases to £13.35, while staff members working in the M25 earn a minimum wage of £13.22 per hour. Workers in warehouse roles will be able to earn up to £12.63 per hour.
Additionally, the chosen applicants will also receive a number of Aldi benefits, including shopping discounts, the bike-to-work scheme, 28 paid holidays and access to a mortgage advice option.

Lisa Murphy, training and development director at Aldi UK, said: “We’ve built a strong track record of helping people launch their careers through our apprenticeship programme, and we’re excited to welcome the next cohort to Team Aldi.
“This is a genuine opportunity to learn on the job, build valuable skills and earn market-leading pay – all while working for one of the UK’s biggest grocery retailers.”
The recruitment drive follows Aldi’s commitment to improve staff pay and benefits, with the retailer recently raising store wages as part of a £36m investment.
