The Mad Butcher launches retail listing with Wizz Air
Charcuterie brand The Mad Butcher has secured its first airline listing with Wizz Air, through catering partner Gategroup.
The snacks, including 40g packs of The Mad Butcher Salami and Chorizo Bites, will be made available to 1.5m passengers at over 7,000 Wizz Air flights.
This move marks a major expansion for the brand, which was launched in 2024 and has already gained retail partnerships at Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Co-op and Spar.
MD of The Mad Butcher, Newby Groves, said: “We’re delighted to bring our delicious charcuterie to hungry passengers on Wizz Air. The Mad Butcher Bites are the ideal accompaniment to that first beverage on board, marking the start or end of a wonderful trip.”

Revaz Mandaria, retail manager from Wizz Air added: “We’ve seen a change in the snacking habits of our passengers. Tapas-style dining is in, and The Mad Butcher Bites come in handy packs that offer a premium, protein-rich taste experience and an upgrade to the overall travelling experience. We’re delighted to have them on board.”
The premium snack brand operates under Sigma Foods, which is the largest producer of charcuterie in Europe.
The products are available in two 70g packs of Classic Pork and Chilli salami sticks as well.
