“Cottage cheese has always been such a nutritional powerhouse, but it’s felt like a compromise for years. Despite its recent moment on social media, there still wasn’t a brand that tasted like a treat or felt relevant today,” Hancock said.

“For us, taste is just as important as provenance and nutrition. It has to taste indulgent, never watery, never bland. alterego proves you don’t have to choose between clean ingredients, great nutrition, and genuinely delicious food.”

The product was designed with four natural ingredients – 100% British milk, cream, live cultures, and sea salt – to cater to health-conscious consumers, according to the company.

Alterego has contemporary branding to distinguish the product from other traditional brands available within the category.
