Co-op Wholesale has named former Bestway executive Robbie Moore as its new trading director.

He previously worked as head of trading at Spar Scotland and held a senior role at supermarket retailer Morrisons.

In his most recent role, Moore served as retail commercial manager at Bestway Wholesale, where he played an important role in driving business growth, said the firm.

“This role is about delivering real value to customers while building sustainable growth with our suppliers,” he said.

“I look forward to working with the team to drive innovation and execution across the wholesale channel.”

The appointment is part of Co-op Wholesale’s business strategy to expand its trading capabilities and reinforce its position as a trusted supplier for partners.

The wholesaler has recently been renewing and extending supplier partnerships with independent retailers as part of its commitment towards community-owned stores.
