Beer brand Butcombe Original has launched 440ml cans in a four-pack, marking a new direction for the business.

The new packs are available 85 Tesco stores across the Southwest and on Amazon.

Butcombe’s new beer format will also be on the shelves at wholesale and independent retailers through free-trade stockists.

Jayson Perfect, chief operating officer at Butcombe Group, said: “The launch of Butcombe Original in cans is an exciting step for us. This new format means more beer lovers can enjoy the same award-winning taste and quality of our flagship session bitter.

The move to canned beer aims to meet the growing consumer demand for craft beers in multiple formats and positions.

The beer brand is part of the Butcombe Group, which operates a brewery in Wrington, Bristol, and has a multi-million-pound distribution and bottling centre in Bridgwater, Somerset.
