Limited-edition Pepsi Gingerbread-flavoured cola to be sold in Tesco

Carlsberg has announced the launch of a limited-edition Pepsi Gingerbread soft drink, which will be available for purchase until 31 December.

The new flavour will be exclusively available at Tesco supermarkets over the upcoming festive season.

Pepsi’s Gingerbread cola drink features Christmas staple ingredients, including ginger, cinnamon and vanilla.

The drinks manufacturer created the product to meet the increasing consumer demand for seasonal products and limited-edition flavours.

The new drink will launch in 500ml, 600ml and 2l formats with a retail pricing range of £2.15, £2.25 and £3.75, respectively.

Pepsi’s new can features a festive design pattern and was created to drive sales over the end-of-year holiday period.

The marketing campaign will also be supported by an in-store activation, sampling and social media promotional activity.

A statement from the company said: “Embracing this trend, Pepsi Gingerbread offers a delicious flavour, designed to excite shoppers through incorporating a Christmas classic.

“As soft drinks continue to be viewed as an affordable treat, this limited-edition launch taps into consumer nostalgia and seasonal purchases with a bold new flavour.”
