Ocado reels in The Fish Society for premium frozen seafood launch
Ocado is boosting its frozen fish offerings with the launch of five The Fish Society’s premium frozen seafood products, marking the UK’s online fishmonger’s biggest retail expansion to date.
Available from 24 September 2025, the new range brings restaurant-quality frozen fish to Ocado customers nationwide – including Yellowfin Tuna, Wild Bluefin Tuna, Miso Black Cod, Swordfish Steaks and Arctic Char, all handpicked from The Fish Society’s 300-strong online range.
The move follows the brand’s growing presence in premium retail, with existing partnerships at Harrods and Abel & Cole, and forms part of its wider strategy to bring sustainable, high-quality frozen seafood to new audiences.
The online supermarket launch also reflects the category’s strong growth, with the UK frozen fish and seafood market rising at a 4.15% between 2018 and 2023, according to figures from GlobalData.
“Right now, the Frozen category is having its moment, and we’ve seen exciting outperformance at Ocado over the last 12-18 months,” said Ocado frozen senior buyer Zee Ahmad.
