Asda announces limited edition 60p flu jab this September
Asda is lowering its flu jab service to 60p for the first 6,000 customers who pre-book their appointment between September 22 and 28.
The price will revert to £14.97 after the appointments have been fully booked.
As part of the marketing campaign, the retailer and pharmacist has partnered with former England and Liverpool footballer Neil “Razor” Ruddock to promote flu jabs among men.
Neil Ruddock said: “I’ve had flu myself, and it really does knock you sideways. The research shows I’m far from the only one, loads of Brits admit they feel wiped out when it strikes. People might joke about it, but when you’re in the thick of it, it genuinely feels like you’ve been tackled hard.
“I’ll hold my hands up and say I’m not great company when I’m ill, just ask my family. It proves that even the toughest of us can be brought down by flu, so that’s why I’ve partnered with Asda to try and keep us all in the game this winter.”

The retailer has also partnered with Barking Football Club, in London, to raise awareness about how flu can prevent people from performing in the games.
An Asda spokesperson added: “This research shows just how much flu impacts everyday life, from missed nights out to time off the pitch and time off work. Our 60p flu jab service is about removing barriers and making it easier than ever for people to protect themselves and those around them.
“Asda has stood for great value over the last 60 years, and this is another way we’re helping families look after their health without the high price tag.”
Flu jabs are available at more than 240 Asda pharmacies countrywide, and customers can book online or in-store at participating pharmacies.
