Lidl GB has announced the latest recipients of its Community Fund, awarding £125,000 in grants to more than 75 local good causes across the UK.

Delivered in partnership with charity platform Neighbourly, the initiative supports organisations including food banks, schools, domestic abuse charities, environmental groups and community centres, with grants of up to £20,000 available.

Among the latest recipients is Kitchen Social & Cookery Club CIC in Kent, which received £20,000 for a new vehicle to support food deliveries and free up volunteer time for healthy eating education.

In West Yorkshire and Liverpool, ReThink Food received £20,000 to help launch its National School Pantry Network, aimed at improving learning outcomes for children through better food access.

Lidl GB head of CSR Matt Juden-Bloomfield said the discounter is “proud to help these good causes,” adding, “we’d encourage any good causes in our Neighbourly network to get their submissions in for the next quarter.”

The Community Fund launched in 2022 and will have delivered £2m in total grants by the end of Lidl’s 2025 financial year. The discounter has been partnered with Neighbourly since 2017 and has donated the equivalent of over 38 million meals in that time.

Past recipients have included Hull Community Shop, Kidzeco in Scotland and Splott Community Volunteers in Cardiff, supporting projects like warm banks, breakfast clubs and cooking classes.
