Tesco trials personalised ‘Your Clubcard Prices’ scheme
Tesco is piloting a new Clubcard initiative that will see shoppers offered tailored discounts, based on their shopping habits.
Dubbed ‘Your Clubcard’, the supermarket giant has said that under this new scheme, customers will receive offers each week that are personalised to them.
Posting a message on its site, the UK’s largest retailer said that shoppers using an individual Clubcard linked to a shared account will also receive Your Clubcard Prices tailored to them and their shopping habits.
It is understood shoppers taking part of the trial will receive new offers every Wednesday via their Clubcard app. The personalised deals will then be available for seven days, but shoppers will be able to redeem the offers on multiple occasions within this window.

As of yet, the trial appears to only be valid in-store at larger Tesco branches, not at smaller Express stores, via Whoosh or Tesco’s website.
A spokesperson told the Sun: “We are currently offering Your Clubcard Prices to a trial group of our Clubcard members, giving them offers on products they regularly buy at Tesco, in addition to the thousands of Clubcard Prices available to all Clubcard members each week.”
The new initiative follows experiments with Tesco’s loyalty scheme last summer, which issued Clubcard Coupons in receipt form, containing personalised promotions and discounts.
Over the festive period, the retailer also debuted a new ‘Christmas Countdown’ spending challenge points system, allowing Clubcard users the chance to win personalised rewards.
