Lipton Teas & Infusions chief executive Nathalie Roos has stepped down after two years leading the tea giant.

Roos joined the business in July 2022, having previously held a number of roles at Mars and L’Oréal.

It is understood that Lipton chair Pierre Laubies will take over the role of CEO until a replacement for Roos is found, with her decision to leave a personal one, The Grocer reported.

Sharing the news of her departure on social media platform LinkedIn, Roos said: “After two exciting years, during which I led the fantastic Lipton Teas & Infusions team, I have decided to turn a new page.

“It is with great emotion that I sincerely thank my leadership team, and all the teams at Lipton Teas & Infusions worldwide, for their unwavering commitment and trust. Together, with the support of our shareholders, we embarked on an incredible journey to transform the tea industry with remarkable energy.”

She added that leading the company “has been an adventure for which I am deeply grateful, and incredibly proud”.

“As I step into a new chapter, I am excited to continue contributing to inspiring agendas of positive change,” she added.

It follows Lipton’s recent decision to sign a partnership to enable the transfer of its tea estates in Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania to Browns Investment.

The new long-term partnership has been designed to ensure all tea sold by Browns worldwide will be grown and harvested to a new set of standards covering quality, social and environmental protections.
