Healthy meals challenger brand The Gym Kitchen is expanding its high protein food-to-go offer in Tesco and launching frozen meal lines across Sainsbury’s stores nationwide.

The brand is launching three new food-to-go SKUs in Tesco this month, including BBQ chicken pasta, a chicken katsu wrap, and chicken tikka bites.

It is also rolling out its High Protein Instant Noodle Pots in the supermarket giant, following its debut in Asda two weeks ago.

In Sainsbury’s, The Gym Kitchen will be adding chicken tikka masala, chicken and chorizo paella, and meat feast pasta ready meals to its frozen range.

The brand is supporting the latest food-to-go launches with a national outdoor campaign, centred around health, taste and convenience for summer.

The Gym Kitchen founder Segun Akinwoleola said: “Expanding The Gym Kitchen proposition across multiple categories is central to our mission to make healthy, wholesome high protein options accessible to everyone and we want to thank all our retail partners for their support in making this happen.”

It comes as The Gym Kitchen joined Tesco’s recently launched Accelerator Programme in February, which looks to provide support to innovative brands across the UK.

Within the programme, suppliers will have the opportunity to be stocked in Tesco stores and online to accelerate growth.
