Tesco ramps up retail media with PepsiCo takeover at Wembley store

Tesco has wrapped its entire London Wembley store in branded PepsiCo advertising ahead of the Champions League final, as it ramps up its retail media offer.

The grocer has partnered with the FMCG giant, which is this year’s UEFA Champions League sponsor.

The new branding at the north-west London superstore includes a head-to-toe wrap, featuring iconic PepsiCo brands Pepsi, Walkers and Doritos with the tagline: ‘Grab a taste of the action’.

It marks the first time a Tesco store has been wrapped for a promotional campaign, with the partnership also extended in-store via activations and exclusive shopper promotions.

According to the supermarket giant, the collaboration is “more than just a visual transformation,” and instead looks to create an “immersive experience” for customers.

In a post on LinkedIn, Tesco Media and Insights Platform said: “Celebrating a Tesco Media first with our PepsiCo Wembley store takeover!”

“Together with PepsiCo, we are bringing the spirit of the UEFA Champions League to life in-store. Shoppers can look forward to engaging activities, exclusive promotions, and the chance to win amazing prizes.”

It added that the goal behind the new branding is to make every visit to the Tesco Wembley store “a memorable one”.
