Tesco tech glitch leads to online delivery cancellations
Tesco shoppers have taken to social media to voice their anger after a technical glitch left the supermarket’s delivery service in “shambles”.
The technical error saw customers’ online grocery cancelled on Sunday morning.
Taking to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, one user said that they had got up “extra early”, only to find the delivery cancelled “without any real reason being given”.

Another shopper wrote that they were housebound and had received delivery confirmation only to be then informed of a cancellation 20 minutes later.
@Tesco awful service. At 7.46 cancelling an order for delivery 8-9. No reason given. No thought about extra costs the customer will incur. New strap line #tesco We don’t give a stuff about our customers. pic.twitter.com/OI0sgxPuqo

One customer called the lack of communication a “shambles”.
Tesco spokesperson said: “We’re really sorry that due to a technical issue, we had to cancel some online orders today. Our technical team have worked around the clock and have now fixed it.”
“Customers who were impacted have been contacted directly. We apologise again for the inconvenience.”
