Tesco has launched a new and improved Plant Chef range ahead of Veganuary.
The upgraded selection of 100% plant-based meals will be available in-store and online from 1 January.
The grocer’s new chilled products include meat-free spaghetti bolognese, sweet potato katsu style curry, sweet and sour no-chicken and rice, bean chilli and Mexican style rice, and Mexican inspired bean burgers, each ranging from £1.95 to £3.25.

Frozen options include meat-free southern fried fillets, spicy bean burgers, katsu style veggie crispbakes, no-beef meatballs, and hot and spicy no-chicken strips, priced between £1.75 to £2.50.
Selected products will be available on Clubcard Prices in a three-piece mix and match deal for £7.50 until 5 March 2024.
This comes as frozen vegan options are predicted to grow by more than 40% in the run up to Christmas as shoppers turn away from the traditional turkey dinner, according to retail data experts Reapp.
The research found that nearly £2m worth of vegan food is set to be sold over the festive season.
