Aldi and Asda have removed all purchasing restrictions on fresh fruit and veg lines including tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers as shortages start to ease and supply increases.
The German discounter had imposed customer purchase limits on certain fruits and vegetables weeks ago, alongside several other major supermarket chains.
Retailers such as Tesco, Asda and Morrisons were also among the supermarkets to impose the limits, blaming bad weather in other countries for the low supplies of certain fresh veg.

Big 4 grocer Asda began lifting final restrictions from today (14 March), on tomatoes and peppers, which had previoulsy been restricted to a maximum of three packs per customer.
Last week, it started dropping purchase limits on other products including broccoli, cucumbers, cauliflower, lettuce, salad bags and raspberries.
Disount grocer Lidl also said it would drop all its customer limits imposed on certain fresh fruit and vegetables.
