Pret A Manger is providing 7,870 UK shop staff with a third pay rise in 12 months as it looks to further support its workforce amid the cost-of-living crisis.
From 1 April, team members, baristas, and shop managers will recieve an additional 3% pay increase on top of the 5% rise that came into force in December 2022.
Average base pay for shop staff will increase by 19% in the year to April, while average entry level pay will have risen by 15% year on year to above £12.

For team members, pay will increase from between £10.30 and £11.55 per hour to between £10.60 and £11.90 per hour depending on location.
Barista pay is also set to increase from between £10.85 and £12.50 per hour to between £11.20 and £12.85.
To help its shop staff further, Pret a Manger has also launched a new discount portal to provide access to fresh food and other essential items from major supermarkets and other businesses at a lower cost.
