Co-op partners with Just Eat to offer on-demand delivery

Just Eat has partnered with the Co-op, to launch on-demand online delivery partnership across the UK.

From early next year, the service will available from 50 of the symbol group retailers stores, with a further roll out to over 1,000 Co-op stores by next spring.

Through the partnership, customers will be able to order items from the symbol group retailer for speedy delivery in as little as under 30 minutes via the Just Eat app and website. 

Customers will also have a choice of over thousands of products including ready meals and everyday essentials.

They will also have access to offers and promotions from popular brands as well as Co-op’s own branded items..

“We are committed to exploring new and innovative ways to increase access to our products and services and, with our members and customers leading busy lives, ease, speed and convenience is a cornerstone of our approach,” Co-op ecommerce director Chris Conway said.

“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Just Eat, a move which will enable Co-op to ‘deliver’ further flexible options online with increased choice and availability in our communities, however and whenever our customers choose to shop with us.”

Just Eat UK strategic accounts director Amy Heather added: “We’re excited to launch our partnership with Co-op to offer convenience grocery from their stores to customers across the UK.”

“The partnership will bring our customers access to a wide range of fantastic Co-op products delivered to their home within minutes. This partnership is another example of Just Eat’s commitment to grocery in the UK and we know that Co-op will be a popular addition for our customers.

The news comes as the Co-op has recently become first retailer to launch a £1 million ‘Warm Spaces’ funding boost, to provide urgent support to local community organisations across the UK.
