Five New Products: Popcorn, Bottlegreen, Coca-Cola, Bullards and Tesco

Popcorn Shed

Popcorn Shed has launched a new Strawberries & Cream popcorn, which was released on 16 May – just in time for the Queen’s Jubilee.

The product has been described as the “luscious iconic British duo” of “smooth creamy caramel” infused with “sweet dried strawberries”.

“We are delighted to be launching this new flavour in time for the Queen’s Jubilee. Nothing says British Summer quite like Strawberries & Cream. We’re sure you’ll enjoy it- it’s the bees knees,” Popcorn Shed director Laura Jackson said.

Bottle Green

Bottle Green has released a new lime and mint cordial flavour in time for the summer, which comes in its staple 500ml glass bottle with an RRP of £3.75.

The launch also came with the brand’s biggest-ever advertising campaign.

“Lime & Mint is going to prove the perfect accompaniment to sunny days and warm evenings,” Bottlegreen owner SHS head of soft drink marketing Sarah Lawson said.

“2022 is going to be a big year for the brand and our latest launch blends together flavours that echo the renowned mojito and will appeal to both lovers of high-quality soft drinks and those seeking quick-and-easy ways to mix their own distinctive cocktails.”

Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola has launched two versions of its Relentless energy drink in a zero-sugar format in Peach and Raspberry flavours.

The venture into the zero-sugar range hopes to take advantage of the growth of the energy drinks sector and sugar-free variants.

“Our energy drinks portfolio has fuelled the category’s growth over the past 12 months and we have continued to excite energy drinkers with new flavours and innovations,” Coca Cola Europacific partners VP of commercial development Martin Attock said.

Bullards Gin

Luxury sustainable British gin brand Bullards announced its latest gin Pineapple, Ginger & Lime to its selection of spirits.

The creation carefully coincides with the opening of its new flagship store in Covent Garden, which also holds a colonial history where pineapples grew synonymous with wealth in the 17th century.

Visitors are welcomed by Bullards gin experts and browse and taste the range of British gins all with “sustainability at their heart”.

“We are thrilled to launch our latest gin to add to our portfolio of sustainable independent spirits. We’ve chosen pineapple as our base due to its rich history with Covent Garden to coincide with our new shop opening this month on 28 Henrietta Street,” Bullards owner Russell Evans said.

Tesco and Remedy Kombucha

Tesco has expanded their meal deal options nationwide to include Remedy Kombucha, in a push to comply with potential HFSS restrictions.

Remedy Raspberry lemonade and Wild Berry Kombucha will be added to Tesco’s meal deal in late May in response to customer demands for healthier options.

“Consumers are actively seeking out great-tasting drinks and easy swaps to reduce their sugar intake, and our research demonstrates that they expect retailers to do their part to support them in making healthier choices,” Remedy Drinks UK general manager Anna Dominey said.

“We’re thrilled to see Tesco responding to this by providing Remedy – a drink which is clearly appealing to their customers – with increased prominence and visibility in store.”
