Nimble appoints former Waitrose head of growth as chairman

Nimble has named Dean Brown as the chairman of the child-friendly cleaning brand.

Brown, who is the current CEO of Little Dish, holds a distinguished career in grocery retail. He has previously held senior positions at Big 4 grocer Tesco and supermarket Waitrose.

To have found a chairman who truly understands FMCG and Retail, as well as the nursery sector, who can help me grow and scale Nimble, is of major significance to the business,” Nimble founder Von Sy said.

Dean has already supported me so much, connecting us to industry experts, advising me on tricky business challenges, helping me build a bigger operations team and guiding me through a successful launch into Tesco last year.”

The appointment follows the recent announcement that Justin King CBE, the former CEO of Sainsbury’s, has joined Nimble as an advisor and mentor.

Brown has said he is “thrilled” to be joining Nimble: “When first speaking with Von about Nimble and the success and rapid growth of the business, I knew it was a company I would be delighted to work with,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to working together with the team and supporting the ongoing growth of the business.”
