Gist strengths senior leadership team with new appointments

Gist has announced the appointment of Tim Kerwood as its chief information officer and Dan Platten as its health and safety director.

In his new position, Kerwood will be responsible for leading the company’s It and business solutions teams.

Kerwood joins from NCP solutions where he held the position of chief technology officer.

He has also held senior positions at Brakes UK, and Big 4 accountancy firm Deloitte.

“I’m pleased to join Gist at an exciting time and very much look forward to driving a new IT and business strategy to deliver further customer value,” Kerwood said.

Platten also joins the company as health and safety director.

He has worked in various health and safety roles for William Davis Homes, Lendlease and Skanska.

“Health and safety is at the core of everything we do at Gist, which is why I’m delighted to take up this new role and support the business to meet its overall objectives by driving forward our safety agenda,” Platten said.

Gist chief executive Michael Chambers added: “I very much look forward to having Tim and Dan join us at Gist.”

“They both bring a wealth of experience in their respective fields which will offer a fresh approach to how we run our business and continue to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.”

This news comes after former Tesco executive Nick Williams joined Gist as its new head of human resources.
