CJ Lang & Sons poaches Booker’s head as new director

CJ Lang & Son has appointed Steve Irons as its new wholesale and channels director.

Irons has over 26 years of experience in the wholesale, foodservice, convenience and FMCG sectors.

He joins from Booker Wholesale Foods where he heads up the wholesale channel with Best Food Logistics.

Irons has worked across many businesses throughout his career, having started his career at CJ Lang & Son, before joining Bestway in 2010.

At Bestway, he held the position of food service contracts and key account manager.

He joined Booker in 2016, working as its national account controller and business development.

“I am really looking forward to working with CJ Lang again,” Irons said.

“There is a huge amount of passion and professionalism in the team, and I did not hesitate when the chance came up to take the role.

“It is a really exciting time for the company as we embark on the next stage in the development of the business which will be looking at new opportunities for growth and innovation.”
