Deliveroo will launch a new exclusive subscription offer aimed at providing enhanced service and greater selection for its top customers.

Key features of the invite-only ‘Plus Diamond’ subscription include priority delivery,  an elevated in-app user experience, 10% credit back on orders of £30 and a direct line to dedicated customer care agents.

Deliveroo CEO Will Shu said: “We’re very excited to launch our invite-only loyalty programme, Plus Diamond.

“Diamond is our most exclusive subscription yet and provides our top customers with a whole host of fantastic benefits from premium delivery and a direct line to dedicated customer care agents, to credit back and bespoke events.

The new exclusive tier will give Diamond members access to delivery from high-end and in-demand restaurants and grocers including Min Jiang, Vori, Lavo, Hedonism Wines and The Black Farmer and will see them invited to a calendar of food events.

The new exclusive membership subscription comes as Deliveroo became the first in the food delivery industry to introduce a loyalty programme in the industry in 2017 and is aiming to become a Plus-first business by 2026.

Alongside the new launch, Deliveroo has also improved its benefits for Plus Gold members, giving users more value, an improved service and exclusive perks.

This includes 10% credit back on every eligible order over £30, special discounts, offers and free items from their local favourites, and allowing customers to claim £5 back as credit if their order arrives later than expected.

Deliveroo product director of loyalty Abi Horner added: “We know how central delivery is to the lifestyle of our top customers so we have designed Plus Diamond to enhance the areas that are most important to our highest frequency customers across selection, speed, care and more – delivering our best possible service.
