Symbol group retailer the Co-op has announced the opening of its new MediaCity, Salford store.
The 5,300 sq ft Manchester site, which has created 20 local jobs, is set to be powered by 100% renewable energy.
The new MediaCity store brings the number of Co-op stores in Salford to seven – including its ‘store’ in ITV’s Coronation Street’s.
The store also includes John Lewis parcel collection and return, Amazon and DPD parcel collection, Deliveroo, a free ATM, and the click & collect of groceries through Co-op’s own online shop.
It also offers Co-op’s own-brand Fairtrade coffee dispenser – Ever Ground, a bakery, hot food, Yo Sushi, freshly baked pizza and free-from, vegan and plant-based products – including Co-op’s exclusive vegan range.
