Belhaven Brewery has rolled out its Belhaven Black Scottish Scout cans across over 1,000 Lidl stores nationwide.

This retail expansion marks a major step for the Scottish beer brand, which grows its overall UK footprint beyond Scotland.

The business underwent a rebrand in 2024 with a new design featuring chimney motifs to pay heritage to production at the Belhaven Brewery.

Belhaven Brewery’s marketing manager Suzie Carlaw said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing Belhaven Black to Lidl stores across the country. This launch means that more people than ever can enjoy a genuinely Scottish stout, whether they’re discovering it for the first time or returning to an old favourite.

“Making Belhaven Black available in over 1,000 stores is a huge milestone and reflects the growing love for quality Scottish beers and gives keen stout drinkers an alternative that they can source easily.”

The beer will be on shelves in a 440ml can format and aims to bring the drink to new audiences with the Lidl partnership.

This move follows a time of continued growth for the business as it continues to expand its portfolio.

Belhaven Brewery was founded in 1719 and is the oldest working brewery in Scotland and produces a range of craft beers and ales and has gained traction across pubs locally.
