Hodge brings two decades of experience from working at McCain Foods GB, where he served in the role of VP of marketing for over 12 years.

As part of the new role, Hodge will focus on building the brand’s image and finding ways to meet growing consumer demand for healthier options.

Hodge said: “Soreen is a brand with incredible nostalgia and heritage and so much untapped potential.

“I’m looking forward to making Soreen even more iconic, ensuring its success for future generations by exploring new spaces to take the brand within and beyond grocery, while championing its feel-good nutrition values as the health agenda continues to evolve, including the growing influence of GLP-1s on consumer behaviour.”

He succeeds Beth Brown, who rejoined the company as MD in 2024 after working as marketing director from 2014 to 2021.

Moving forward, she will take on the newly created role of group strategy director, where she will oversee strategy across the Samworth Brothers company, which covers a wide portfolio of categories and brands.
