Swiss chocolatier Lindt is giving out free Lindt Teddy’s to anyone who brings a stocking to a participating store.

The brand will also donate £1 to the NSPCC for each Teddy sold.

This comes as research from the firm shows 45% of UK adults miss their childhood festive traditions, such as receiving a stocking. The survey showed 73% of adults reported enjoying finding chocolate in their stocking.

The offer will be available from 13 to 14 and 20 to 21 December, while stocks last. Participating stores include London Piccadilly, Portsmouth, Bluewater, Leeds, Manchester, Cannock, Livingston and Bridgend.

Angèle Villet, marketing director at Lindt & Sprüngli UK, said: “Our research shows adults are nostalgic about their childhood traditions, so this Christmas let our Lindt Teddy bring back the festive joy.

”Get your beloved stocking from the loft or treat yourself to a new one before heading to a participating Lindt store and add more magic into the season with Lindt Teddy”

Kirsty Lawson, associate head of corporate partnerships at the NSPCC, said: “We’re delighted that Lindt & Sprüngli UK is once again supporting the NSPCC. This festive season, many children will be gleefully opening a Lindt Teddy they’ve found in their stocking, yet, for other children, the holiday period brings uncertainty and fear within the home. Young people will be reaching out to Childline with a variety of concerns.

”This partnership helps us continue to fund this crucial service at a time when children need us most.”
