Aldi encourages shoppers to nominate colleague champions
Aldi is inviting its shoppers to nominate store colleagues who have made a positive difference to their day, to reward employees for their hard work and dedication.
Ahead of World Kindness Day on 13 November, the discounter is encouraging shoppers to put forward the name of staff members who have helped them in some way, whether that be assisting them in finding the products needed during a shop or pausing for a friendly chat.
Colleagues who receive the most nominations will receive a spa break for two.

Aldi communications director Richard Thornton said: “At Aldi we know the impact that small gestures can have, especially in today’s fast-paced world. This initiative is a heartfelt reminder of the essential role our colleagues play in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our customers.
“We believe that every act of kindness deserves to be recognised and celebrated, which is why we are calling on the nation to help us give back to our amazing colleagues.”
To participate, shoppers should submit the colleague’s name, store location and no more than 100 words on why their nomination deserves to win to colleaguechampions@citypress.co.uk by 11 December.
It comes as Aldi is calling on charities, community groups and food banks across the UK to register to receive surplus food donations from its stores this Christmas.
With community giving platform Neighbourly, which the discount grocer partners with year-round, charities will be paired with local Aldi stores this Christmas and will be able to collect fresh and chilled food products nearing the end of its shelf life.
