Waitrose invests £10m in lowering prices across No.1 range
Waitrose has injected a further £10m into lowering prices across nearly 250 products in its No.1 and Duchy Organic ranges.
In the first phase of its campaign, the upmarket grocer has cut prices across over 80 No.1 and 45 Duchy products, including cheese, croissants and pork joints.
Some products featured in the campaign include No.1 Vintage Cornish Cheddar, down to £3.00 from £3.35, No.1 Free Range Pork Spare Ribs at £9, down from £10, and Duchy Organic Basmati Rice, down to £3, from £3.40.
It marks Waitrose’s sixth price cut since February 2023, and takes the supermarket’s total investment in lowering prices within the last 18 months to £140m.

The grocery retailer added that its ‘New Lower Prices’ campaign has seen price cuts on nearly 1,400 products in total, with reductions over 7% across its ranges.
Waitrose commercial director Charlotte Di Cello said: “Our food loving customers come to Waitrose to experience the very best, from exceptional flavours to the quality of the ingredients we offer.
“This latest investment in prices will include a large number of products across No.1 and our Organic Duchy ranges which we know our customers love. With many celebrating Organic Month this September, there’s no better time to try our Organic Duchy food and drink.”
