\nAsda is extending its popular \u2018Kids Eat for \u00a31\u2019 caf\u00e9 meal deals with new vegan and healthy meal options from next week, in which it aims to continue helping customers tackle the rise in cost-of-living expenses.<\/p>\n

Launching on 20 March, the refreshed menu will see the addition of two new hot meals – Penne Pasta with Meatballs and a vegan Hidden Veg pasta meal – and will last until the end of the Easter holidays.<\/p>\n

The supermarket<\/a> launched the offer for kids under 16 to enjoy a hot meal in any of their 205 cafes in June 2022, and has now served over 1.3 million meals to kids from its cafes nationwide.<\/p>\n

The big 4 grocer will also be\u00a0including a free piece of fruit such as and apple, pear or banana when purchasing the hot kids \u00a31 meal deal.<\/p>\n

As an alternative to a hot meal, Asda Caf\u00e9\u2019s offer a \u00a31 cold pick and mix selection that includes a sandwich, drink and piece of fruit, the refreshed menu now includes new treats such as a jelly pot with whole fruit pieces or a jelly squeeze pouch as an alternative to a pack of crisps.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know when families are preparing for the school holidays it can often mean an additional strain on household budgets,” Asda\u2019s chief commercial officer, Kris Comerford said.<\/p>\n

“Our kids \u00a31 caf\u00e9 meal deals continue to provide a lifeline to families as we\u2019ve served over 1,300,000 million meals since the launch.”<\/p>\n

He added: “We hope by offering a new refreshed, great tasting and affordable and healthier balanced \u00a31 kids\u2019 menu and the addition of a free piece of fruit it will help support many more families in the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

The news comes as Asda\u2019s Income Tracker shows UK households were \u00a391 a month worse off<\/a> compared to January 2022, with the average family spending power at just \u00a3215 per week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
