{"id":37179,"date":"2022-08-10T06:55:46","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T06:55:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.grocerygazette.co.uk\/?p=37179"},"modified":"2022-08-10T10:14:09","modified_gmt":"2022-08-10T10:14:09","slug":"nisa-hit-with-disruptions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.grocerygazette.co.uk\/2022\/08\/10\/nisa-hit-with-disruptions\/","title":{"rendered":"Nisa retailers hit with supply chain disruptions due to heatwave"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- VideographyWP Plugin Message: Automatic video embedding prevented by plugin options. --><br \/>\nNisa retailers have been told to expect supply chain disruptions this week as suppliers deal with the second heatwave of the summer.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nisalocally.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">symbol group<\/a> told retailers to \u201cexpect disruption\u201d to frozen deliveries this week, saying that the items that would mainly be affected are those that are \u201cordered less frequently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following a series of delivery disruptions among other wholesalers during the previous heatwave in July, Nisa wrote a letter to its retailers highlighting \u201cchallenges with freeze orders being over pick capacity due to demand because of the extreme hot temperatures across the UK.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grocerygazette.co.uk\/2022\/07\/27\/nisa-overhaul-cost-structure\/\">Nisa CEO promises overhaul of cost structure in bid to boost appeal<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It added: \u201cThis resulted in us having to manage the freeze volumes through the network to the capabilities of the depot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to increased volume of orders being received again this week, we need to make some interventions to be able to effectively pick and deliver this stock.
