Unilever’s controversial move would allow the sale of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream on illegally occupied Palestinian land in the West Bank<\/a>, with the\u00a0business and related trademarks transferred to Avi Zinger, who runs American Quality Products.<\/p>\n The complaint filed in the US district court in Manhattan said the sale announced on 29 June threatened to undermine the integrity of the Ben & Jerry’s brand – which has been independent since Unilever acquired the company in 2000.<\/p>\n
