The loyalty rewards scheme<\/a>, which is owned by Sainsbury’s, now allows customers to donate points to a participating charity of their choice by simply logging on to the Nectar app.<\/p>\n With \u00a3250m worth of points up for grabs from Nectar\u2019s 18 million UK members, a wide range of charities have already signed up to the programme; from local grassroots organisations to larger national charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support and Alzheimer\u2019s Research UK.<\/p>\n Once registered, customers can donate a minimum of 200 Nectar points (the equivalent of \u00a31) to their chosen charity.<\/p>\n
