\nAsda<\/a> has launched two plant-based cookie flavours in a bid to expand its vegan range to the bakery.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The cookies come in packs of four of double chocolate chip and chocolate chip and retail at \u00a31.50.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, the baked goods have been approved by The Vegan Society trademark, confirming they are free of animal ingredients.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fans of the double chocolate chip cookie shared their approval online stating it had a \u201cgood texture and tasted fresh,\u201d and were, \u201ceasily the best in-store bakery vegan cookies\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The expansion comes as Asda was named Vegan Retailer of the Year in November 2021 by the Quality Food Award.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In September 2021, Asda became the first supermarket to launch an ambient vegan aisle, which offered accessible and affordable plant-based ingredients and products.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, The Big 4 grocer previously opened a low-waste sustainability store and trialled an in-store vegan butcher counter.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The launch comes during the \u201cbiggest\u201d Veganuary to date<\/a>, with 600,000 pledging to try a plant-based diet in 2022.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
