\nAldi has launched its version of Japanese-inspired dessert, Mochi Balls, following a viral TikTok trend.<\/p>\n

Aldi\u2019s Wao Mochi Balls, will be available from May 17 and will be 30% cheaper to Little Moons costing \u00a32.99, compared to Tesco and Ocado, which sells the mochi for \u00a34.50.<\/p>\n

The new range will be available in three flavours which include tropical, mango and coconut.<\/p>\n

The news follows Big 4 retailer Tesco reporting a 700 per cent rise in sales of the bite-sized treat, attributing the rise to a viral trend on TikTok.<\/p>\n

The trend began as TikTok users posted videos of them purchasing Little Moons\u2019 mochi ice cream and has over 15,000 mochi-themed videos available on the app.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
