Hubbub’s managing director, Alex Robinson has been announced as the new CEO of environmental charity, Hubbard, following the departure of Trewin Restorick.
The charity, which has worked with brands including Tesco, Waitrose, Lidl and Asda, announced last month Restorick would be stepping down from the position in June after eight years.
Robinsons new role will include overseeing initiatives tackling the most pressing environmental challenges including e-waste, fashion, food waste and sustainable eating.

As director of the Hubbub Foundation, a role which ran parallel to his work for Enterprise, Restorick has been responsible for leading Hubbub’s relationship with The Co-op, one of the charity’s biggest funders, a partnership that will enable the Community Fridge Network to increase to 500 Community Fridges.
“I am beyond excited to take on this fantastic role. There’s never been a more important time to encourage positive environmental change and with the brilliant team we have here at Hubbub, along with really strong partnerships, I look forward to building on Trewin’s amazing legacy and achieving even more impact in the future,” Robinson said.
Hubbub’s chair of trustees Catherine Brown added: “After a rigorous process, during which we met a number of great candidates, the board are delighted to have appointed Alex as our next CEO.
“Alex stood out for his depth of knowledge of the sector, his experience of leading and building creative teams, and his vision for the future of Hubbub – a vision in which we can make an even bigger difference to the things we care about.
“There has never been a more urgent time to support large scale behaviour change and the board are excited to work with Alex and the team to build on everything Hubbub has achieved to date in this area.”
