Asda’s George partners with Netflix for fashion and lifestyle lines

Asda’s clothing brand George has launched a fashion and lifestyle range in collaboration with entertainment streaming platform Netflix.

The supermarket fashion and lifestyle range will include branded footwear, accessories, stationary, mugs and board games featuring designs from the streaming service’s most popular shows, such as Squid Games, Stranger Things, Money Heist, Emily in Paris and Cobra Kai.

Non-native Netflix shows like Friends and the Big Bang Theory will also have themed products in selected George stores and online at George.com.

A total of 12 stores will have a wide range of clothing and general merchandise products and 38 will offer Netflix clothing and accessories.

However, Asda’s Milton Keynes store will serve as the “flagship” concession to provide shoppers with a more “immersive experience”.

This would include branded changing rooms, dedicated product areas and access to the full range of 48 licensed products.

The retailer will also launch a number of exclusive Netflix ranges throughout the year, with all items available for purchase online.

“We are extremely excited to have launched our partnership with Netflix. We know that George is an important destination for customers looking to buy licensed product and Netflix has a broad range of properties that appeal to all the family,” George senior buying manager Scott Macrae said.

“We feel this collaboration a great fit for George which allows us to continue to bring a range of product that is relevant and for all the family to enjoy.”
