Newsprinters has announced a deal to extend its exclusive print contract with Telegraph Media Group (TMG).

The partnership will continue for another three years beyond the current contract terms, from September 2023.

Newsprinters prints and delivers over 20 million newspapers every week for clients which include The Financial Times, DMG Media and the parent company of The Sun, News UK.

Newsprinters will also continue to procure newsprint on behalf of TMG.

Although TMG is already part of a shared primary distribution contract operated by Newsprinters, the new print deal will create an opportunity to progress these distribution arrangements into the future, generating both cost efficiencies and a positive environmental impact through reduced trucks on the road.

“Telegraph Media Group is a key client for Newsprinters and this is an incredibly important renewal in a competitive print market, extending both the positive working relationship and strategic partnership between our two businesses,” Newsprinters managing director Darren Barker said.

Telegraph Media Group chief operating officer Chris Taylor added: “Delivering a quality print product to our subscribers is a key priority for our business.

“I’m delighted that this renewal sees us continue our strong partnership with Newsprinters, supporting us to bring our award-winning journalism to readers across the UK.”
